As we approach the new school year, we are excited to welcome everyone to our Open House on August 24th from 3:00–4:00 PM!
We wanted to share a few additional details for the event:
Ice Cream Social & Dismissal Procedures: In the gym, our music teacher, Ms. Joyner, will be available during the Ice Cream Social to meet with our Car Pick-Up families and new families joining our school. She will go over our new dismissal procedures and collect car numbers from parents for students who will be using Car Pick-Up. If you are a new family, please be sure to stop by and let Mrs. Joyner know whether your child will be a Car Pick-Up student or a Walker.
School Supplies: Families with students in 1st–5th grade are welcome to bring their school supplies to Open House and drop them off in their child’s classroom.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone and getting ready for a wonderful new school year!
Thank you, and see you soon!
Thank you for a fantastic first day! It was wonderful seeing so many smiling faces as we kicked off the school year together.
Thank you for your patience as we ensure every student gets home safely. Dismissal always takes a bit longer during the first few days while everyone adjusts.
We are implementing a streamlined dismissal process used successfully by other elementary schools, which will speed up significantly once everyone learns the routine.
A huge thank you to our Car Pick-Up and Parent Pick-Up families for having your assigned numbers ready! Keeping those visible helps our line move smoothly.
Thank you again for your partnership and support!

ICE CREAM SOCIAL
We are so excited to welcome our students and families back to school with our Ice Cream Social on August 24th from 3:00–4:00 PM! This will be a fun, relaxed, and welcoming open-house event for ALL students and families at our school. Whether you are brand new to our school community or have been with us for years, we hope you will join us for an afternoon of ice cream, connection, and getting ready for the new school year!
The Ice Cream Social is a wonderful opportunity to come into the school, explore the building and classrooms, meet staff members, connect with other families, and begin getting comfortable in our school community before the first day. We want this event to feel casual and welcoming—a chance to stop by, say hello, ask questions, meet familiar and new faces, and enjoy some time together as a school family.
We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back and starting another wonderful school year together!

Happy summer break everyone!
We would like to let everyone know that we have gotten back the lost and found items.
The items will be placed outside next to the main entrance so that parents can look through the bags and retrieve any belongings their child may be missing. Please take a moment to stop by and check for any lost items.
Any items that remain unclaimed will be donated this upcoming Friday, 6/26/26.
Thank you!

Dear ESD Families,
The Enumclaw School District All District Choral Festival must be moved from its original date, Tuesday, February 24th, to the following Tuesday, March 3rd. We are having to make this date change due to our boys varsity basketball team needing to host a finals game. They have worked hard to earn this high seeding within their rankings, and we have tried to work with the WIAA and all building Administrations to find a different solution. However, the only option is to utilize the gym for the basketball game on the 24th, which moves our concert event to the following Tuesday, March 3rd.
All of your students' music teachers are informed and they will be letting your students know when they see them. Please feel free to inform them early as well.
All times of arrival and start time are all going to be the same.
We know this is an inconvenience, but it is also a celebration of how wonderful the sports and music activities are here at Enumclaw.
We look forward to seeing you on March 3rd, and we thank you for your continued support and patience.
Thank you all,
The Music Team of Enumclaw School District

PTO - Glow Dance/Glow Run
Thank you to each and every family who came out to our PTO Glow Dance! It was such a joy to see our gym filled with smiling faces, glowing outfits, and nonstop dancing. Everyone had a blast dancing the night away, enjoying delicious pizza courtesy of Molen Orthodontics, and soaking up all the glowing fun.
A huge thank you to our PTO volunteers and staff who helped make this event such a success, we couldn’t do it without your time and support. Events like this truly highlight the amazing sense of community we have at Black Diamond Elementary, and we’re so grateful to share these fun moments together!
