Hello Black Diamond Community,

Thank you for visiting our website. I am very excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Black Diamond Elementary School. These last few years have brought enormous challenges to our schools and families. It goes without saying that we have some work to do with reestablishing traditions, community activities, and social opportunities for our children. As a parent of two elementary-aged children, I am acutely aware of how important this time is for the development of the whole child through rich experiences at school and home.   I am very excited to foster success in all of our students by establishing a strong sense of community, high expectations, and access to high-quality instruction in academics and social/emotional learning. 

I have been in education for 12 years and have served students in several different capacities at both the elementary and secondary levels. Throughout my career, I have been steadfast in my commitment to providing high-quality instruction to all students regardless of labels, backgrounds, or behaviors. I truly believe that each child we serve deserves the same high expectations, love, support, and high regard we would hold for our own children.

In talking to people, it is clear that Black Diamond is a special place. Staff value this school, and they are happy to serve your children. I am honored to become a member of the Black Diamond community.
